You may be given other medicines along with this medicine depending on what caused the ulcer. You need to keep taking Amcid Syrup as prescribed by the doctor for it to be effective, even if the symptoms seem to disappear.

In Bloating

Bloating refers to excessive buildup of gas in our stomach due to abnormal muscle movement in our stomach and intestines. Amcid Syrup improves the movement of food in the stomach and helps prevent bloating.
You should take it exactly as it is prescribed for it to be effective. Some simple lifestyle changes can help stop or reduce bloating. Eat healthy, avoid spicy or oily food, exercise daily for at least 30 minutes and do not overeat.

Amcid Syrup

This medicine can make it harder for your body to absorb other medicines, especially certain antibiotics. Avoid taking any other medicine within 2 hours before or 2 hours after you take Amcid Syrup.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve within 2 weeks of taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines which thin the blood (anticoagulants, e.g. warfarin).
Incorporate the following lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity and bloating:
1. Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water
2. Avoid spicy and fatty fried food
3. Lose weight if you are obese
4. If you are a smoker, consider giving up
5. Don't drink too much alcohol
6. Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
