Introduction of Amlozaar-H Tablet

Amlozaar-H Tablet is a combination of medicines used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) when a single medication is not effective. It helps to lower high blood pressure thus reduces chances of future heart attack and stroke.

Amlozaar-H Tablet is a combination of antihypertensives and diuretic medicines

Uses of Amlozaar-H Tablet

Benefits of Amlozaar-H Tablet

In Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Amlozaar-H Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

Side effects of Amlozaar-H Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Tiredness
  • Palpitations
  • Sleepiness
  • Increased blood uric acid
  • Glucose intolerance
  • Taste change
  • Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk)

  • Altered blood lipid level

How to use Amlozaar-H Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amlozaar-H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Pregnancy

Amlozaar-H Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Amlozaar-H Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Amlozaar-H Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Amlozaar-H Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Amlozaar-H Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Amlozaar-H Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Amlozaar-H Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Amlozaar-H Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amlozaar-H Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Amlozaar-H Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Amlozaar-H Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
