Introduction of Cepodem AZ Tablet

Cepodem AZ Tablet is a combination medicine. It is prescribed to treat various types of bacterial infections. It fights against the microorganisms to prevent their growth and further spread of the infection.

Cepodem AZ Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cepodem AZ Tablet1 and Cepodem AZ Tablet2.

In Bacterial infections

Cepodem AZ Tablet stops the growth of infectious bacteria and helps treat infections caused by bacteria. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant. Drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

Side effects of Cepodem AZ Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Cepodem AZ Tablet

Cepodem AZ Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Cepodem AZ Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
There may be a possibility of diarrhea or rash in the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Cepodem AZ Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION
Cepodem AZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cepodem AZ Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Cepodem AZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cepodem AZ Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

  • Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking Cepodem AZ Tablet.

No, do not stop taking Cepodem AZ Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.

Q. What if I miss my dose?

Take Cepodem AZ Tablet as soon you remember it. However, do not take it if it's almost time for your next dose. Also, do not take an extra dose to make up for your missed dose.

Q. Can the use of Cepodem AZ Tablet cause diarrhea?

Yes, the use of Cepodem AZ Tablet can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic which kills the harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea, talk to your doctor about it.

Q. What if I don't get better after using Cepodem AZ Tablet?

Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.
