Colirion Tablet is a combination of pain-relieving medicines. It helps in relieving abdominal pain and related discomforts. It works by relaxing the stomach muscles to relieve bloating, pain and cramps.

Colirion Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Colirion Tablet1, Colirion Tablet2, and Colirion Tablet3.

Side effects of Colirion Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Breast feeding

Colirion Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Colirion Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Colirion Tablet may cause headaches, blurred vision, dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Colirion Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Colirion Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Colirion Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Colirion Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Colirion Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

What if you forget to take Colirion Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Colirion Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Depression is a persistent state of sadness that is the result of interaction between one's inner biological and psychological state and gets triggered of with environmental stressors. Reactive depression is in response to a situation like loss, sickness, trauma etc. Endogenous depression occurs without any noticeable environmental stressors. Psychological symptoms include lack of interest, negative thinking, irritability, frustration, feeling demotivated etc. Somatic symptoms like fatigue/ weakness/ lack of sleep/ lack of appetite and other physical symptoms are common. Anxiety is common. In severe cases one may feel helpless and hopeless enough to wish for death or attempt suicide. Treatment includes physical and psychiatric work up following which medicines can be prescribed. In milder cases, psychotherapy or counselling is recommended.

Q. Can I stop taking Colirion Tablet when my pain is relieved?

Colirion Tablet is usually used for short term and can be discontinued if there is no pain. However, it should be continued if your doctor told you to do so.

Q. Can the use of Colirion Tablet cause diarrhea?

Yes, the use of Colirion Tablet can cause diarrhea. In case of diarrhea, drink plenty of water or other fluids. Also, avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medicine. Talk to your doctor if diarrhea persists. Do not take any other medicines without speaking to a doctor.

Q. Can the use of Colirion Tablet cause dry mouth?

Yes, the use of Colirion Tablet can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry. Try to avoid foods that are acidic (like lemons), spicy and salty.

Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Colirion Tablet?

The use of Colirion Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to any of the components of this medicine. It should be used carefully in patients with alcohol dependency, or with underlying kidney or liver damage.

Yes, long-term use of Colirion Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Use of Colirion Tablet is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.

Q. Can I take a higher than the recommended dose of Colirion Tablet?

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose of Colirion Tablet can lead to increased chances of side effects. If the recommended doses do not relieve your symptoms or you experience increased severity of pain, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.

Q. Can the use of Colirion Tablet cause damage to the liver?

Colirion Tablet contains paracetamol. This medicine is known to cause harm to the liver especially in the doses above the recommended level. Also, avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may further increase your risk of liver damage. Use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with the underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage. These symptoms may include fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, and abnormal liver enzymes.

Q. What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Colirion Tablet?

Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
