Introduction of Coravas-FB Tablet

Coravas-FB Tablet is a combination of two lipids (fat) lowering medicines. It is used to lower the levels of lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood when lifestyle changes (eg. low-fat diet) on their own have failed. This medicine helps to reduce the risk of heart disease.

What if you forget to take Coravas-FB Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Coravas-FB Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Q. Can Coravas-FB Tablet cause liver damage?

Coravas-FB Tablet contains Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate. A very rare (1 in 10000 patient) side effect of this medicine is liver damage. Use of this medicine should be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage. These symptoms may include fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal liver enzymes.

Q. Can Coravas-FB Tablet cause muscle pain?

Yes, Coravas-FB Tablet can cause muscle pain by injuring the muscles. Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you experience muscle pain, weakness or muscle cramps. It can be a sign of any muscle injury caused due to Coravas-FB Tablet.

Q. What lifestyle changes should be adopted while taking Coravas-FB Tablet?

Making lifestyle changes can boost your health while taking Coravas-FB Tablet. Stop smoking, as smoking increases your risk of having a heart attack and stroke.
