Side effects of Delphyrin Syrup in children

How can I give Delphyrin Syrup to my child?

How Delphyrin Syrup works

Delphyrin Syrup contains two active ingredients: paracetamol, and promethazine. These ingredients together relieve common cold symptoms. Promethazine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Delphyrin Syrup is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Delphyrin Syrup is recommended.
However, caution is advised in patients with severe kidney disease as it may cause excessive sleepiness in them.

Liver

CAUTION

Delphyrin Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Delphyrin Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
The use of Delphyrin Syrup is not recommended in children with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

What if I forget to give Delphyrin Syrup to my child?

Do not panic. Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember it. Skip the missed dose if it is almost the time for the next dose. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule and do not give a double dose to catch up with the missed dose.
