Dizitor MD Tablet is used to treat vertigo. It is a combination medicine which acts by relaxing vascular smooth muscles of the blood vessels of the ear and improves the blood circulation. It also blocks the action of a chemical messenger that is responsible for lightheadedness in vertigo.
Dizitor MD Tablet is a combination of calcium channel antagonist/antihistamine and H1 antihistaminics (first generation).

In Treatment of Vertigo

Dizitor MD Tablet helps treat this sensation effectively. If you feel dizzy while getting up from the bed, sit for a while and then rise slowly to avoid having an accidental fall. It will be more effective if you take this medicine regularly as prescribed so try not to miss doses. It may take a couple of weeks before you notice any improvements but keep taking it, even if you do feel better, until your doctor advises it is safe to stop.

Dizitor MD Tablet may cause indigestion. However, taking it with or after food can prevent indigestion. Talk to your doctor if indigestion persists.

Dizitor MD Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with hypersensitivity to the active substances, diphenhydramine or other antihistamines of similar structure or to any of the excipients. Dizitor MD Tablet should be avoided in patients with glaucoma, fits, increased intracranial pressure, alcohol abuse, urinating issues, liver or kidney disease. It is also not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Q. What if I accidentally take too much of this medicine?
Visit the nearest emergency department if you accidentally take too much of this medicine. Symptoms of an overdose may include tiredness, pupil dilation, unable to urinate, dry mouth, flushing, fast heart rate, sweating, headache, dizziness and shakiness.
Q. What if I miss a dose of Dizitor MD Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Dizitor MD Tablet, you should skip the missed dose and take the next dose at its usual time and quantity. You should not take a double dose of Dizitor MD Tablet to make up for a missed dose.
Q. Can I stop taking Dizitor MD Tablet if I feel well?
You should not stop taking Dizitor MD Tablet until your doctor asks you to. If you stop taking Dizitor MD Tablet earlier than advised, the symptoms of vertigo may reappear (dizziness and spinning).
