Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet is a medicine known as an anticoagulant or blood thinner. It helps prevent and treat blood clots. It prevents and treats clot formation in the veins of your legs, lungs, brain, and heart. It is used to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack.

Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet is an oral anticoagulant which helps prevent formation of harmful blood clots. It prevents the formation of blood clots in the legs, lungs, brain and heart. For the best result, take it at the same time every day. It can increase the risk of bleeding, so be careful while shaving, cutting nails, using sharp objects or enganging in contact sports (e.g. football, wresling). Let your doctor know if you see blood in your vomits, urine or stool (black or tarry). Unlike other anticoagulant, regular blood test (PT-INR) is not required while taking this medicine.

The condition usually improves on its own in some time. Additionally, the doctor might recommend applying heat to the painful area, elevating the affected leg, using an over-the-counter painkiller and possibly wearing compression stockings.

I was pregnant in January. I was feeling all symptoms of being pregnant. When I was undergone SCG test, It was negative. Even my blood report also shows absence of HCG. As I am feeling pregnancy symptoms, I continued to do HCG tests for 3 .5months. During this tenure, I had almost no monthly periods.(only sometimes spots seen). I consulted Gynaecologist for this problems. I had undergone sonography test two times. It was showing some blood clots. Doctor suggested to do Anti Mullerian hormone test for uneven/ stopped period for long time. He also gave tablets for period which was consumed by me and I had period for four days in first week of April. AMH test showed worrying result. It was showing value- 0.7. A lower normal range is 0.7 to .0.9. Doctor suggested to complete three month course of OVARUS (75mg) tables. Is there any worries about lower AMH ? What is the reason for this problem? I have thyroid problem and I am taking Eltroxine 100mg since last 7 years.

If you have difficulty swallowing the whole tablet, the tablet may be crushed and mixed with water, or 5% dextrose in water, or apple juice or apple puree. Remember to crush the medicine just before you take it.

Q. What if I miss a dose of Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet?

If a dose is missed, the patient should take Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet immediately and then continue with twice daily intake as before.

Q. What are the side effects of taking Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet?

Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet may cause bleeding in eyes, stomach, nose, etc and anemia which may cause tiredness or paleness. It may also lower your blood pressure which may make you faint or have a quickened heartbeat and nausea. Blood tests may show an increase in gamma glutamyltransferase (GGT), which may be due to liver problems.

Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet also helps to reduce the risk of forming a blood clot in the legs and lungs of people who have just had hip or knee replacement surgery and treat blood clots in the veins of your legs (deep vein thrombosis) or lungs (pulmonary embolism), and reduce the risk of them occurring again.

Q. How dangerous is Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet?

While using Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet you should be aware of the risks involved such as it can cause excessive bleeding being a blood thinner. Hence, do not stop taking the medication without speaking to your doctor. If you have epidural or spinal anesthesia or a spinal puncture while taking Faxapix 2.5mg Tablet then you may be at risk of developing a blood clot in or around your spine which can result in paralysis in some patients. Hence, inform the doctor beforehand if you have had any such procedure.
