How Fexid MT Syrup works

Fexid MT Syrup contains Montelukast and fexofenadine. Together these two relieve sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic that blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist that works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.

However, consult your child’s doctor in case of severe liver disease.

What if I forget to give Fexid MT Syrup to my child?

Do not panic. Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, give the missed dose as soon as you remember it. Skip the missed dose if it is almost the time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.

Never combine Fexid MT Syrup with other cold and flu medicines as that may have side effects.
Fexid MT Syrup helps prevent asthma attacks. Never use it to stop an attack that has already started, as it will not help.
