Imspas Tablet CR is a combination of anticholinergic-antispasmodic, benzodiazepine, H2 receptor blocker, and anticholinergic-antispasmodic medicines.

Irritable bowel syndrome is a chronic (long-term) inflammatory disease of the large intestine (colon) that usually needs long term management. This can lead to bleeding, frequent diarrhea, bloating, flatulence, cramps and stomach pain. Imspas Tablet CR relaxes the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine) and relieves these symptoms effectively. Usually, it is used along with other medicines for management of your condition.
Continue taking it for as long as the doctor may advise you to. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it. Take a fiber-rich diet, avoid oily or spicy food and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Imspas Tablet CR is to be taken empty stomach.
How Imspas Tablet CR works
Imspas Tablet CR is a combination of four medicines: Clidinium, Chlordiazepoxide, Dicyclomine and Ranitidine which treat irritable bowel syndrome.
Clidinium and Dicyclomine are antispasmodic medicines that relax the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). They stop sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing this, they relieve cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Ranitidine is an H2 blocker. It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

What if you forget to take Imspas Tablet CR?
