Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections such as tooth abscess, gum infection, pneumonia, diarrhea, dysentery, peritonitis, burning sensation while passing urine, and certain genital tract infections. This medicine inhibits the growth of infection-causing bacteria by stopping it from multiplying. You may start seeing an improvement in the infection within 3 to 5 days of regular dosing. But, you must still finish the full course of the medicine and never stop it abruptly by yourself as that may worsen your child’s condition or cause infection recurrence.

Side effects of Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension in children

Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they’re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. How Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension works

Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension is a combination of three active ingredients. While two of its ingredients, namely ofloxacin and metronidazole are antibiotics, simethicone is a gas-absorbing agent that improves gastric tolerability of the combination. The antibiotic ingredients interfere with the genetic material of bacteria by impairing its DNA. This kills the infection-causing bacteria, preventing its growth and stopping the infection. On the other hand, Simethicone binds with the gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem. By doing so, it aids in the removal of gases and provides relief in stomach pain and bloating.

Diarrhea is a common side effect of this medicine. If it occurs, make sure your child drinks plenty of water.
Your child may have an altered taste or furry tongue (coating of Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension on tongue) after taking Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help.
Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
Never use this medicine for the common cold and flu as they are caused by viruses and Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension treats only bacterial infections.
Discontinue Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing.
Only give Innoxin MZS Oral Suspension to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
