It softens and widens the opening of the womb and increases contractions of the uterus. Medidin Gel helps induce labour in pregnant women.
It is only used in a hospital or clinic by your doctor.
Your doctor may ask you to lie down for at least 30 minutes to keep the medication in place.
A second dose of medicine may be given if contractions are not strong enough.
You may be monitored closely after administration to make sure that the contractions do not become too strong and no distress comes to the baby.
