Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet works by increasing the level of a chemical called serotonin in the brain. This improves your mood, relieves anxiety, tension, and helps you sleep better. It has fewer side effects than older antidepressants. It usually takes 4-6 weeks for this medicine to work so you need to keep taking it even if you feel it is not working. Do not stop taking it, even if you feel better unless your doctor advises you to.
In Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet helps relieve symptoms of many anxiety disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder by increasing the level of a chemical called serotonin in your brain. It has fewer side effects than older antidepressants and is normally taken once a day. It helps you feel calm with a better ability to deal with problems. Exercise and a healthy diet can also improve your mood. Keep taking the medicine until your doctor advises you to stop.

Yes, Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet is used to treat social anxiety disorder. It is anxiety related to interacting with others or performing in front of others that interferes with normal life. Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet is also used for the treatment of the obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and panic attacks. In OCD, a person experiences unwanted thoughts and the irresistible desire to perform certain actions over and over. These thoughts and desires do not go away and make it bothersome for the person.

There is no evidence that Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet causes dependence. But, patients may experience withdrawal symptoms on sudden discontinuation of Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet. Usually, the withdrawal symptoms are mild and go away on their own within 2 weeks.
Q. Who should not take Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet?
You should not take Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet if you are allergic to it, if you are taking another medicine to treat depression called a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor (MAOI), or if you have stopped taking an MAOI within the last 14 days. This is because taking both these medicines close in time together may cause serious and sometimes fatal reactions like high body temperature, convulsions, and even coma.

Yes, a common side effect of Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet is sleepiness. It may also affect your ability to think clearly, make decisions, or react quickly. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until and unless you know how Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet affects you.
Q. Does Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet have any serious health risks associated with it?
Yes, the use of Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet may cause serious health risks. These may include increased risks of suicidal thoughts and actions, mania, bleeding problems, convulsions, visual problems, and low sodium levels in the blood.

It takes a long time for Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet to start working. However, you may see an improvement in your sleep, appetite and energy levels within 1-2 weeks of starting Obsace-ER 100mg Tablet.
