In Asthma
Ventophylin S Tablet works by reducing and preventing swelling and inflammation in your lungs. It prevents the symptoms of asthma such as tightness in your chest, wheezing, breathlessness and coughing. This means you can carry out your daily activities more easily and more confidently.
It may take a few weeks for this medicine to show full effects. Keep taking it regularly as prescribed even if you do not have any symptoms (this means it is working). Do not stop taking it unless your doctor advises you to, otherwise you are more likely to suffer from symptoms. This medicine will not stop an asthma attack that has already started.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ventophylin S Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

- You have been prescribed Ventophylin S Tablet for the treatment of asthma.
- It should be taken at the same time each day, preferably in the evening after food.
- It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Always keep a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you.
- Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to make sure that you are taking the right dose.
- Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood potassium levels. Inform your doctor if you notice muscle twitching or weakness, or an irregular heartbeat.
