Emergency contraception

डिस्क्रिप्सन

Emergency contraception, also called postcoital contraception, can be used as a contraceptive method to prevent pregnancy after an unprotected sexual intercourse. It is recommended for use within 5 days after the act of intercourse. There are two methods of emergency contraception - intrauterine devices (IUDs) and emergency contraceptive pills (commonly known as the ‘morning after’ pill).
