What is Helicobacter Pylori Antigen detection?
Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) is a type of bacteria that affects the digestive system and causes gastritis, ulcers in the stomach, small intestine and esophagus or certain types of stomach cancer. H. Pylori Ig M test is used to detect the presence of these bacteria through the antibody IgM in the blood or stool.
You may need this test if you have abdominal pain, bloating, nausea , vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite and weight loss.
