Understanding MRI Hip Joint with Contrast
What is MRI Hip Joint with Contrast?
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the hip joint is a test which is non-invasive. It scans the images of hip joint, the surrounding bones and soft tissues of the hip joint. The MRI Hip Joint with Contrast uses a contrast dye that is injected into a patient before having the MRI scan. Contrast agents helps to improve the visibility of internal body structures in MRI. It uses strong magnetic and radio waves to create images of the hip joint in detail. Multiple images are captured during the MRI scan which can be stored on an electronic device and then further printed on a film. The complete procedure takes about 40-60 minutes.
