Scrub Typhus IgM Antibody, Rapid

The Scrub Typhus IgM Antibodies Rapid Test is an immunoassay that helps detect IgM antibodies against Orientia tsutsugamushi (Scrub typhus).

Scrub Typhus, also known as tsutsugamushi fever, is a disease accidentally transmitted to humans. Fever, headache, body ache, and sometimes rashes are the most common symptoms. An eschar (cigarette burn-like sore) at the site of infection and swollen lymph nodes may also occur. The diagnosis is difficult as the clinical symptoms and signs are similar to many other febrile diseases and have relied on the detection of O. tsutsugamushi antibodies during the acute phase of the disease.
