What is Tripe H (HIV, HBV, HCV)?
Viral Marker Screening package detects the presence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) 1 & 2, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C infection. The HIV antigen/antibody test simultaneously detects HIV p24 antigen and antibodies associated with HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 virus and can usually detect an HIV infection 18 to 45 days after the person has been exposed to the virus. The HBsAg test detects the surface antigen that is specific to hepatitis B. HCV antibody test detects exposure to hepatitis C. This package is used to screen individuals with risk factors like weak immunity, unsafe sexual practices, people who have symptoms associated with any of these viral infections, or those who have been possibly exposed to any of these viruses.
