How Brezvent-LS Oral Drops works

Brezvent-LS Oral Drops is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol, and Guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.

Brezvent-LS Oral Drops is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Brezvent-LS Oral Drops is recommended.
However, prolonged use may impact kidney function in your child. Discuss with your child’s doctor thoroughly before giving the medicine. It is not recommended in children with severe kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION

Brezvent-LS Oral Drops should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Brezvent-LS Oral Drops may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Discuss with your child’s doctor thoroughly in case your child has a history of allergy (hypersensitivity) or any liver problem before giving Brezvent-LS Oral Drops.

What if I forget to give Brezvent-LS Oral Drops to my child?

Do not panic. Unless your doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember it. Skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not give the double dose and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.
