Mesalo Foam can relieve these symptoms and also help you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. It is taken by the back passage (rectal route) and should not be taken orally. You need to use this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids to make sure you stay hydrated.

How Mesalo Enema works
Mesalo Foam is an aminosalicylate. It works directly on the site of inflammation (swelling) in the lower parts of large intestine (colon and rectum) to provide rapid relief from attacks of ulcerative colitis. It suppresses the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause intestinal inflammation, thereby reducing ulceration, bleeding and painful symptoms.
