Tusq-X Expectorant helps gently soothe and relieve your child’s cough. It loosens thick mucus by increasing the water level of the mucus, thereby making it easier to cough out. This makes breathing easy and reduces the frequency of coughing. Along with medications, drinking lukewarm water and gargling with warm salt water may also help ease symptoms for your child.

How Tusq-X Expectorant works
Tusq-X Expectorant contains three active medicines. Each ingredient present in this medicine plays a pivotal role. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of the mucus and helps in its removal from the airways. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that relaxes and widens the muscles in the airways.

Q. My child has a cough with no mucus. Can I give Tusq-X Expectorant?
No, Tusq-X Expectorant is advised for the treatment of wet cough. It aims to expel the mucus from the airway tract, thereby relieving your child from throat irritation, congestion and rendering him a soothing effect. Whereas, for a dry cough, cough suppressants are a better option. So, it will be wise to ask your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
Q. What if my child takes too much Tusq-X Expectorant?
An overdose or a prolonged intake of Tusq-X Expectorant may cause serious side effects like seizures, rapid heart rate, and excess salivation.
