ANA IFA Reflex to ANA / ENA Blot 18 Antigens (Qualitative) Profile, Blot / LIA test comprises two tests, ANA-IFA and ANA / ENA 18 Antigens (Qualitative) Profile Blot / LIA. ANA-IFA helps detect autoimmune diseases such as mixed connective tissue disease, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjögren’s syndrome, autoimmune hepatitis, scleroderma, etc. You may get these tests done when you have symptoms of autoimmune diseases such as fever, dryness in the mouth, skin rash, fatigue, joint pain and swelling, muscle pain, digestive issues or recurring fever. This package offers initial screening of antinuclear antibodies (ANA) to indicate the presence of autoimmune diseases.

If the ANA-IFA test is positive then ANA / ENA 18 Antigens (Qualitative) Profile Blot / LIA test is done to identify the specific autoantibodies in blood and identify the particular auto-immune disease. However, if Anti Nuclear Antibody - IFA is tested negative, further ANA / ENA 18 Antigens (Qualitative) Profile Blot / LIA test will not be done & only Anti Nuclear Antibody IFA report shall be released.
