Side Effects of Ambact are Rash, Diarrhea, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Increased white blood cell count (eosinophils), Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness), Increased bilirubin in the blood, Thrombophlebitis, Injection site pain.

Severe

Side Effects of Ambact are Low blood platelets, Decreased white blood cell count (lymphocytes), Erythema multiforme, Urticaria, Increased liver enzymes, Abnormal liver function, Pseudomembranous colitis, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth), Decreased hemoglobin, Decreased hematocrit level, Decreased red blood cell count, Anaphylactic reaction, Stomach inflammation, Hairy tongue, Clostridium difficile associated diarrhea, Decreased protein levels in blood, Low albumin level in blood, Increased blood urea nitrogen, Increased creatine level in blood.

How Ambact Products work

Ampicillin + Sulbactam is a combination of two medicines: Ampicillin + Sulbactam1 and Ampicillin + Sulbactam2. Ampicillin + Sulbactam1 is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Ampicillin + Sulbactam2 is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ampicillin + Sulbactam1 against bacteria.
