Understanding Electrocardiography at Center
What is Electrocardiography at Center?
An electrocardiography test is used to measure the electrical activity of the heart. It is a short, painless, and safe procedure in which the electrodes or the test sensors are used to record the patterns of the heartbeat. It generates the report on the same day of the test.
ECG is required in case of various signs and symptoms like chest pain, rapid pulse, heart palpitations, and shortness of breathing. The procedure helps the doctor to diagnose heart-related problems at an early stage such as the irregular rhythm of the heart, damage to the heart after a heart attack, congenital heart defects, and obstructed arteries. However, if the results are abnormal, then the doctor may advise a treatment plan or medicines to the patient.
